Patricia Palermo of Great Kills passed away on Tuesday June 17, 2025 surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 83. Born in Brooklyn to the late Charles and Santa Monduori. After staying home and caring for her family Patricia took a job as bus Matron working for Island Charter Bus Company, a job where she truly enjoyed being with the children who she grew so fond of. Patricia loved to read, she cherished time spent with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren be it cooking for them, or just being together enjoying each others company. She would never turn down an offer to go shopping, she was a big believer in the healing powers of Retail Therapy. She had a great sense of fashion and was a proponent of selecting just the right accesories to augment an outfit.
She was a member of the Red Hats and the Columbiettes.
She was predeceased by her husband Dominic, who passed in June 2020, together they had a truly amazing relationship raising their 5 children. Patricia is survived by her loving children: Deborah Agugliaro and her husband John, Patricia Gerwer and her husband Vincent, Karen Ames and her husband Michael, Joseph and his wfe Roseann and Dominic and his wife Jennifer, her 13 grandchildren and her great grandchild. She was also pre deceased by her sister Eleanor Antico.
Family and Friends are asked to gather on Thursday from 3-8 p.m. at The John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals & Cremation Services 28 Eltingville Blvd. Staten Island. On Friday the funeral will process at 9 am for A Mass of Christian Burial which will be offered at Our Lady Help of Christians Church begining at 10:00 a.m. Following Mass Patricia will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Resurection Cemetery.
