Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Yvonne Jones Ratcliff, 82, of Mount Airy, received her heavenly reward on Wednesday morning, October 27, 2021, at Northern Regional Hospital, completing a life well lived. She was born August 31, 1939, in Surry County, to the late Ivan and Melissa Harold Jones. She was married to the late Donald Eugene Ratcliff for 56 years. Pat retired from Renfro Corporation and later a seasonal job that led to a second career with Walmart. Most importantly, Pat loved her Lord and wanted everyone to know Him as their Savior. She was a faithful member of Midway Baptist Church for 56 years, where she served the bus ministry and taught the primary Sunday school for many years. Pat was a wonderful cook and gracious hostess, as no one ever left Nanny’s house hungry. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Alisa Ratcliff Hutson; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Randy Ratcliff and Rondale and Susan Ratcliff; her grandchildren, Corey and Kristal Bledsoe, Brandi and Travis Anders, Mandi and Adam Hiatt, Halee, Emma, Caden, and Apple Ratcliff, and Jenna and Alexis Ratcliff; her great-grandchildren, Leea and Jake Levesque, Nicholas Hiatt, Taylor Haynes, Jordan Hayes, Carson Anders, Sara, Nathan and Logan Bledsoe, Evan and Cassie Kruper, and Brayden Higgins; a great-great-grandchild, Walker Bruce; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Peggy and Walter Rierson and Gail Ratcliff; a special sister-in-law, Bonnie Mannon; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Wally. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Ratcliff was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Ratcliff; three grandchildren, Carrie Bledsoe, Dustin Ratcliff, and Anthony Ratcliff; two sisters, Christine Jones and Alberta Miller; and a brother, Pete Harold. The funeral service will be held Sunday, October 31, 2021, at 3:30 PM at Midway Baptist Church, with Pastor Larry Phillips and the Reverend Butch Holder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
