Patricia M. Peters, age 83, passed away on November 17th, 2025. She was born on November 2nd, 1942, in Baltimore, MD, to parents Lewis A. Matthaei and Margaret M Reed.
She attended St. Ursula School and graduated from Parkville High School. She was a homemaker for more than 20 years and returned to school to become a licensed Dental Hygienist practicing in Parkville, Glen Burnie, and Kent Island. She loved spending her time in her garden, planting flowers, and watching the birds visit her feeders. Family trips to Ocean City were a beloved tradition. Pat could also often be found at her local library, where she enjoyed the quiet moments spent reading. She had a soft spot for children and was known for her kindness and warmth.
Pat is survived by her loving husband Ed of 63 years. She was the loving mother of Marianne, Susan, Tuck, David, and Katie. She was the devoted grandmother-affectionately known as Flanch-to her grandchildren Eric, Andrew, Gage, Josh, and Jake. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Aryn, and a cherished sister to her brother Raymond Matthaei. She is survived by many loving family members and friends.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Pat's life at the family owned Evans Life Celebration Home, 8800 Harford Road, on Sunday, November 23rd, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. Cremation to conclude all services.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 601 Maiden Choice Ln, Catonsville, MD 21228.
