Mrs. Patricia Ann Rennish of Port Jervis, NY died Thursday, November 27, 2025 at home with her family by her side. She was 72. She was born February 23, 1953 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late Doc Washington Wheeler and the late Ann Grillo Wheeler.
Patricia married the love of her life Joseph Rennish, Jr. on November 9, 1992 in Brooklyn, NY.
Patricia was a Licensed Beautician for 30 years at the Parisian in Park Slope, Brooklyn, NY.
She went on to her next calling in life working at St. Francis School of the Deaf in Brooklyn, NY where she was a sign language teacher. Pat was fluent in 2 forms of Sign Language. After moving to Port Jervis she volunteered teaching anyone in the community Sign Language.
Patricia never sat still, she went to work for Redco in Pike County working with Autistic Children and was especially helpful with her sign language skills with the non-verbal Autistic Children.
Pat also worked for the Port Jervis Police Department as a Crossing Guard in the City of Port Jervis.
She was a member of the Roosa Fleming VFW Post #161 Ladies Auxiliary where she served as Vice President. And she was a member of the Howard Wheat Engine Company #4, Ladies Auxiliary. Pat was a member of the Good Shepherd St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in Milford, PA where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and a Worship Leader. She volunteered at Bon Secours Community Hospital as an Addiction Counselor and a Patient Transport Assistant. She ran the Food Pantry at the Grace Episcopal Church in Port Jervis.
A family statement read: She will be greatly missed for a loving personality and giving nature as well. She was kind giving advice that sometimes we might not want to hear, but she'd always say, "I Call a spade a spade" Rest easy Sunshine.
Surviving are: She leaves behind and will now watch over her tower of strength and hero, her husband Joseph Rennish. The daughter she never had her loving Niece, Jennifer "Tushy" Langdon of Brooklyn, NY Step-daughter, Theresa Broad and her husband Anthony of Melborne, FL Step-son, David Rennish and his wife Loita of Winter Springs, FL Step-son, Joseph Rennish of Melborne, FL Great nephews Timothy Shane McMahon, Devin Kaine McMahon and loving fiancé Savannah Maillet, Shawn Serenity Carrasquillo and Elias Carrasquillo, Jr. As well as Great Great nieces and nephews Devin Xander McMahon, Layla Arabella McMahon, Carsen Michael McMahon and Cora Renee-Rayne McMahon. Her loving Sheep Dog, Lulu Patricia was predeceased in March of 2025 by her inseparable and loving sister Veronica "Ronnie" Gioia.
A visitation will be held at the GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, INC. 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM with Rev. William Stewart officiating.
Cremation will be at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford, PA.
