Patricia Entwistle Roberts, 65, of North Attleboro passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on August 27, 2025, after a hard-fought battle with breast cancer.
Born on January 21, 1960, in Pawtucket, RI to Charles and Shirley Entwistle, Patricia, "Pat" or "Pattie" as she is known, was a loving wife, beloved mother and grandmother, and a vibrant teacher whose life touched so many.
After graduating from Tolman High School in 1978, Pat attended College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and met and fell in love with her devoted husband, Edward H. Roberts. Throughout their 41 years of marriage, Pat and Ed shared many unforgettable adventures, like cruising in the Mediterranean and skydiving over Newport, RI, and together, they built a loving family and happy life.
While still working in the corporate business world, Pat completed her Master of Education at Rhode Island College in 1995, to pursue her true calling as a secondary elementary school teacher. She taught in the Pawtucket School Department for 27 years before officially retiring in 2023. She was known by her students and colleagues to be fair, compassionate, innovative, and fun - the kind of teacher every student hoped for.
Pat was a truly extraordinary mother to her two children, E. Gregory Roberts of Rehoboth, MA and Jessica Roberts Goodrich of
North Attleboro, MA. She was a constant source of wisdom, support, humor, and fierce love. Above all, Pat was a wonderful grandmother. It was apparent to everyone who knew her that her greatest joy was spoiling her five beloved grandbabies - Alex, Calla, Olivia, Easton, and Evan. Her love and devotion will live on through the many memories and traditions she created for them.
Pat is survived by her mother, Shirley (Day) Entwistle of
North Attleboro, MA; her husband, Edward Roberts of
North Attleboro, MA; her two children, Greg Roberts and his wife Abbey, and Jess Goodrich and her husband, Jason; her five grandchildren, Alex, Calla, Olivia, Easton, and Evan; her siblings Judy Josephs, Linda Kayata, and Charles Entwistle, Jr., as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, students, and friends.
Pat bravely fought cancer with unparalleled strength and grace. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, students, and the countless lives she touched.
