Patricia Sherbondy, 77, of Greenville, PA, passed away on April 14, 2025, with her loving family by her side.
Patti was an avid gardener who enjoyed growing vegetables that went towards making salsa and her regionally famous spaghetti sauce. Throughout her career as a Corrections Officer at the Mercer County Jail and into retirement, she had a steadfast dedication to her garden by working it routinely year and year out for the meals that would be prepared at the end of season.
Foremost, though, was her dedication to her husband of more than 20 years of marriage (and courting for 10+ years prior!), Ronald J. Sherbondy.
Patti battled cancer the last three years of her life, being an inspiration to many patients going through the same journey making others feel better about themselves in the face of a terminal illness. She was continually encouraging about defeating the illness. Her positiveness also resonated with the health care professionals who were happy to visit her while going through treatments and surgery.
Patti is remembered for the bright spirit she brought to those she knew and encountered. She unwaveringly showed what it means to be kind without conditions and to never make room for cruelty, leaving a legacy of joy behind to those who knew her.
Per Patricia's wishes there will be no services.
