Patricia Ann Smith, 88, of Caseville, passed away Monday, October 13, 2025 in Holland, Michigan.
Pat was born in Detroit to the late Ted and Clara (Sosnowski) Buchalski. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Robert T. Smith, son Stephen Smith, brother Dennis Buchalski and daughter-in-law, Marcy Smith. After a long battle with Parkinson's, Pat is joining her family in heaven.
Pat obtained her Bachelor of Science from Saginaw Valley College and worked at various corporations as a computer programmer.
Pat will be greatly missed and forever remembered for many things but mainly for her love of family, her generosity, always being by Robert's side when he played Santa Clause, Christmas Eve celebrations, summer beef roasts, trips to Grindstone City for ice cream, attending almost every one of her children’s school events, her love of watching Caseville sunsets and sharing all these experiences with family and friends.
Patricia is survived by two sons Kristopher Smith (Christopher Keane) of Somerville, MA and Jeffery Smith (Angela Vauhn) of Rogersville, TN; one daughter Robyn Smith of Oshkosh, WI; siblings Sandy Ward (Thomas) of Grand Haven, MI, Paula Ballard (Jerry) of Sun City, AZ, David Buchalski (Eileen) of Sterling Heights, MI , sister-in-law Judy Buchalski of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren Kailey and Rebekka; step-grandchildren David, Ashley and Neveah; her loving nieces and nephews, Ellen, Michael, Lewis, Ryan, Heather, Jason, and Chelsea; and her husband’s loving nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be at 11:00am Saturday, October 18th at St. Roch Catholic Church in Caseville with Fr. George Amos presiding. Burial will be in St. Roch Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass in church on Saturday. Ransford Funeral Home-Pigeon is handling the arrangements.
