Patricia Snelling, 74, Altus, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at her home.
Patricia was born on June 16, 1951, in Carthage, Missouri to John Emory and Geraldine (Hutton) Culver. She later moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she met and married the love of her life, Richard Snelling, to whom she was married for 55 cherished years. As a devoted military wife, Patricia embraced the many moves and changes that came with military life, always creating a warm and welcoming home wherever she went.
Patricia fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse, dedicating her life to caring for others with compassion and grace. Her gentle spirit and selfless heart touched countless lives, both in her professional work and in her personal ministry.
A woman of deep faith, Patricia loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a member of Freedom Church, prayed for many, and devoted herself to leading others toward God's love and salvation. Her steadfast belief and quiet strength were a light to all who knew her.
Patricia is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Snelling; her three daughters, Wendy Jones (Roland), Mindy Trips (Bernie), and Lindy White (Chad); eight cherished grandchildren; eleven beloved great grandchildren; and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. Patricia will be remembered for her kindness, devotion, and unwavering love for her family, friends, and her Savior.
The Snelling family will host a memorial reception from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. A graveside memorial celebration will be 9:00 AM Monday, November 10, 2025, at the Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, with Pastor Arlis Moon officiating. Services and cremation are under the care of the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Patricia's name to the Jackson County Memorial Hospital Hospice, PO Box 1139, Altus, OK 73522.
