Patricia "Patty" Ann Zoller, a beloved mother, godmother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 26, 2025, in her hometown of Marietta, Ohio. Born on July 10, 1947, in Marietta, Ohio to Lawrence and Margaret Arnold Schaad, Patty lived a life full of love, dedication, and service to her family and community.
A proud graduate of Fort Frye High School, Class of 1965, Patty went on to build a successful career as a telephone operator, working for Ohio Bell, Bell Atlantic, Verizon, AT&T, and several other telecommunication companies. Her work ethic and commitment were admired by colleagues and she built lifelong friendships with those she worked with. She had a passion for playing BINGO, sewing, crafts, and gardening. Her creativity and love for these activities brought joy to her life and to those around her. She was a cherished member of her community, known for her kindness and creativity. Her warmth, love, and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Patty is survived by her four sons, Richard Brian (Tammy), Brad (Melissa), Keith (Kim), and Phillip Zoller; her grandchildren, Hailey, Marissa, Brayden, Kirstin, Olivia, Ian, Ali, and Carter Zoller; her brothers, David (Dorothy), Mike (Marilyn), and Bruce Schaad; her sisters, Phyllis Anderson (Jim) and Marcia Noll; her in-laws, Janet Schaad, Dave Zoller (Donna), and Steve Zoller (Karen); as well as several nieces, nephews, and her caring neighbors who watched over and cared for her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Richard Lee "Dick" Zoller, whom she married on November 19, 1966; her brothers, Larry and Roger Schaad; her sisters-in-law, Tina and Peggy Schaad; and her brother-in-law, William "Bill" Zoller.
A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption in Marietta, Ohio on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Edward Maxfield Jr. officiating with burial to follow in the New St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the MARIETTA CHAPEL OF CAWLEY & PEOPLES FUNERAL HOME on Monday, June 30, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Memorial Donation may be made to Cawley Hospice, 2730 Washington Blvd., Belpre, Ohio 45714, in Patricia's memory.
