Patrick Charles Belcher, known lovingly to friends and family as Charlie, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025, in Fort Wayne, IN, enveloping the age of 64 years with grace. Born on September 3, 1960, in the heart of Pike County, KY, Charlie was a beacon of unwavering love and courage throughout his life.
Charlie was a proud alumnus of Betsy Layne High School, whose spirit for life and learning carried him far beyond the classroom walls. He moved to Indiana, where he would then marry his beloved sweetheart, Deborah, on May 29, 1982, starting a union that would be cherished until Deborah's passing. Together, they nurtured a warm, loving family, celebrating the joys and braving the storms as one.
He leaves behind a legacy of love in his daughters; Nicole Grimmett (Michael O'Connell) and Ashley Belcher (Cody Statzer), who will carry forward his teachings and love. Charlie's light will shine on through his three adored grandchildren, Christopher, Marleigh, and Ramzeigh, with each embodying different facets of his kindred spirit. His memory will also be treasured by his eight siblings, who stood by him as they shared a lifetime of memories.
Preceded in death by his cherished wife Deborah, his dear parents, Arthur and Oma (Ray) Belcher, son, Jordan Belcher, as well as three siblings, Charlie's life was one marked by the profound bonds of family.
An outdoorsman at heart, Charlie found solace in nature. His laughter echoed through the trees during spirited games of horseshoes, and his happiest moments were those spent enveloped in the warmth and innocence of his grandchildren's company.
Charlie was the epitome of loving, kind, and courageous, and his enduring spirit will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him. He walked through life with a gentle strength that drew others to him, and he will be deeply missed by all.
Interment will take place at Milford Cemetery, 13015 N. 60 W., Milford, IN 46542. Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 461 W. 900 N., Milford, IN 46542, is assisting the family with arrangements.
