Patrick Michael Dunigan

Patrick Michael Dunigan, 85, of Mannington, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024 at his residence. He was born May 6, 1939 in Metz, a son of the late Andrew Patrick and Mary Jane Hunt Dunigan.
Patrick was employed by CSX Railroad as a train dispatcher for 43 years and 3 months. He was a veteran of the US Army having served from 1963-1965 in the A Battery 13th Artillary Scoofield Barracks in Hawaii as Sergeant and the Grafton Army Reserves. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, liked antique Ford cars, and enjoyed walking every day. He was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Mannington for 85 years.
Survivors include his wife Jeanette Swiger Dunigan whom he married May 5, 1962; 2 children: Patrick Michael Dunigan II and wife Christina of Dents Run, Mannington and Deborah Kay Dunigan; of Morgantown; 4 grandchildren: Devin Marie Gaston and Nick, Eric Michael Dunigan, Chase Andrew Cuppett, and Caleigh Lauren Cuppett; 3 great grandchildren: Sadie Joe, Addie Kate, and Kinley Nicole Gaston; a sister: Linda Jane Latocha.and husband John; a sister-in-law: Carol Dunigan. In addition to his parents, Patrick was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law: William and Josephine Swiger, siblings: Richard and Thomas Dunigan; and his grandmother who helped raise him: Blanche Hunt.
