OCEAN BLUFF – Patrick J. Felle, 91, of Ocean Bluff, MA, formerly of Galway, Ireland, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at South Shore Hospital in South Weymouth. He was the beloved longtime partner of Nancy Ann Dunham of Ocean Bluff. Born on May 22, 1934 in Clonmoylan, Galway, Ireland, he was a loving son of the late Laurence and Annie (Finnegan) Felle.
Patrick was the second oldest of four children, growing up alongside his sisters Ena and Chris and his brother, Michael, who passed away in 2021. He often shared fond memories of walking two miles to school, sometimes barefoot on warm days, and of his playful nature - perhaps inherited from his grandfather, known affectionately as "Pat the Rascal."

Gifted with a sharp mind and a talent for mathematics and carpentry, Patrick attended the newly opened secondary school in Portumna in the late 1940s. After graduation, he worked in local construction in Ireland before joining his sister Ena in England in 1954, where he worked in construction and had what he jokingly called his first and last hangover.

Not long after, Patrick answered the call of family in America and immigrated to the United States, spending time in New York before settling in Boston. He worked for many years as a caretaker for St. Joseph and Holyhood Cemeteries in West Roxbury and Brookline, a job he took great pride in. He often quipped that he "had more than 10,000 people under him." Patrick was part of the trusted team that, under cover of night, exhumed the remains of President John F. Kennedy's children so they could be reinterred with their father at Arlington National Cemetery - a memory he held with pride for the rest of his life.

Patrick embraced Boston's Irish community, forming lasting friendships and staying connected to his roots. He played and later served as President of the Boston Galway Hurling Club in the early 1960s, and loved Irish music, dancing, and card games like "25." He returned home to Ireland often, bringing joy to his nieces and nephews who eagerly awaited the treasures he carried in his suitcase.

He was also an avid Boston sports enthusiast, with the New England Patriots being his favorite team to cheer on.

In addition to his beloved partner, Nancy, Patrick is survived by his sisters Ena Donovan of Bromley, Kent, England and Chris Concannon of Kilcolgan, Galway, Ireland. He also leaves behind many Felle and Finnegan cousins, nieces and nephews, and was a cherished part of Nancy's extended family. He was the brother of the late Michael Felle.

His funeral, to which relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend, will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025 beginning with visitation from 9:00 to 10:00 AM in the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street, Marshfield, MA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated in his honor by the Reverend Paul Aveni at 10:30 AM in Saint Ann by the Sea Church, 587 Ocean Street, Ocean Bluff, MA. Interment will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Towne Street, Attleboro Falls, MA.
