Patrick Lyle Field of Garner, NC passed away unexpectedly on March 14, 2025.
He was born June 3, 1964 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Patrick Field and Patty Spidle. He made Garner, North Carolina his longtime home. Patrick was married to Donna Field for 12 years but were best of friends for 8 years prior. He was an auto mechanic by profession but was know for his big heart, his kindness to all, and his ability to help someone in need throughout his entire life.
Patrick was part of a military family, having served 10 years in the Army. He was devoted to his wife, mother, father, brothers, children, and grandchildren. He loved going to the lake with his family each summer and taking weekend getaways to the beach with his wife. He was huge Dallas Cowboys and UNC Tarheels fan.
He loved playing cards, board games, and dress up with his granddaughters. He was known as Pat to everyone except his granddaughters. To them he was Papa.
Patrick is survived by his wife, Donna Field of Garner NC, his mother Patti Hendrickson of Garner NC, his father Patrick Field of Sanford NC, his 3 brothers Richard (Jennifer) Field, Rob (Katie) Burns, and Blake (April) Hendrickson, 3 daughters, 1 son, 7 granddaughters, 1 grandson, numerous nieces and nephews.
The Memorial, Celebration of Life, Service will be held on April 5th, 3 pm, at Saint Andrews United Methodist Church, Family Life Center, 1201 Maxwell Dr, Raleigh, NC 27603.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Patrick's memory to the following Wounded Warrior Project Hope For The Warriors
