Patrick W. Guerrette

Patrick W. Guerrette, 27, of Wallingford, passed away August 4, 2024 at Hartford Hospital after a courageous battle with Esophageal Cancer. Patrick was born in Meriden on June 1, 1997, the son of Steven and Michele (Gould) Guerrette of Wallingford.
Patrick was a student at Mark T. Sheehan H.S. and continued his education at UCONN where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. He remained focused on his education and received his master's degree in Engineering at Cornell University. While pursuing his master's degree he was employed as a Systems Engineer LDP at Lockheed Martin in New Jersey where he led a team of engineers. He was in his final rotation in Lockheed Martin's Leadership program.
Patrick enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He cherished his trips with his friends to hike the national parks. He always looked forward to annual family vacations that included going to the beach. When he returned home for each holiday he enjoyed hiking at Sleeping Giant with his family. Patrick was also an avid food lover. He enjoyed trying foods from all cultures and sharing his findings with family and friends.
Known for his kind heart and infectious smile, he left an impact on everyone he met. He enjoyed speaking with his dad about world events and late night chats with his sister. He was always willing to join mom while she ran her errands. He also was fond of time spent playing computer games.
In addition to his parents, Steven and Michele, he is survived by his sister, Amanda O'Brien and her husband, Sean, nephew Cullen of Marlborough; his maternal grandmother, Joanne Smithlock and Uncle Frederick Smithlock of Wallingford, Uncle Ronald Gould of New Haven Paternal Grandfather, Roland Guerrette of Bristol; Uncle Rick Guerrette and his wife Susan of Bristol and numerous cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
Patrick's family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext. on Friday, August 9, 2024 from 4pm until 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, August 10, 2024, directly at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 382 Hope Hill Road, Wallingford. Interment in All Saints Cemetery will be private.
