Patrick Halloran Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Thompson Spring Grove Funeral Home on Jan. 7, 2026.
Patrick J. "Pat" Halloran, 58, of Ingleside, passed away peacefully at Holy Family Hospital on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, following a long and courageous journey with health challenges. Patrick was born in Chicago on Thursday, October 26, 1967, the son of John and Kathleen (McLaughlin) Halloran. He was a 1985 graduate of William Fremd High School and continued his education at Harper College and the University of Illinois Extension, where he pursued his passion for horticulture.
Patrick Halloran was the owner of Halloran Horticulture Services, a business built through decades of hard work, dedication, and an unmatched work ethic. A true blue collar man, Pat worked long days and early mornings, providing for his family as a single father of three. He stepped away from his work in 2022, marking the close of a life defined by perseverance and responsibility.
In his younger years, Pat was known by the name "Happy" a nickname that reflected his adventurous spirit and sense of humor. He had a lifelong passion for dirt bikes, ice racing, speed, engines, and anything with a motor. Especially the kind you feel in your chest. As a devoted Chicago fan, he loudly supported the Chicago Bears, Cubs, and carried deep pride in our city.
A certified professional, he was widely respected for his knowledge of plants and trees and could identify countless species by sight, often by their Latin names. Family, friends, and colleagues regularly sought his guidance, and his children relied on him as a trusted source of advice.
He was close with his family and deeply valued those relationships. Pat shared a strong bond with his parents and siblings and held great trust and respect for them throughout his life. He made sure his kids knew how much family meant to him.
Nothing mattered more to Pat than his children. His life was devoted to them, and he spoke of them often and with immense pride. He carried that same devotion into grandfatherhood and found great joy in his grandchildren, especially his first grandchild, Isaiah who came when he was just 37. Isaiah and Pat were 2 of a kind, and he loved to drive around with isaiah in his big work truck.
Pat was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Patrick Halloran will forever hold a place in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Survived by his mother, Kathleen; children, Kelly (Bryan) Adam, Patrick (Rachael Werner) Halloran, Kristine Halloran, Molly (Nick) Doll, Jimmy (Gretchen) Doll; siblings, Peggy Ripoli, Michael (Jill), Brian (Debbie), Halloran; grandchildren, Isaiah, Kellem, Ember, Forrest, Alex, Liam, Elena, Raven; and many nieces and nephews.
Proceed by his father, John.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. Celebration of Life Service at Thompson Spring Grove Funeral Home, 8103 Wilmot Road, Spring Grove, IL.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.
Pat was in my Tictok group , he talked of the love of his family a lot . He would come in and get up and get in a box and in 3 minutes he would get a nurse . He always thanked us for helping him .
I remember he was upset over his wheelchair missing , some the other ladies like Jess was helping him to tell him what he had to do to get it back . The day he ask to file a claim , he got it back . He popped in room on tictok just to let us know what happened and was glad to get it back .
His favorite night was Thursday ,that night we always do a Bible study. It´s amazing.
So sorry for the loss of Pat , may you find some comfort in his precious memories.
He will definitely be missed on our tictok group . Jess had a special memorial on there the other night in his honor .

I met Pat September of 2024 when he stumbled into my TikTok LIVE one night. Within a week, he became a nightly attendee, coming in within the first few minutes of me going LIVE, and staying until the very end. Day after day, week after week. He quickly became a regular fixture in my LIVES and a "fan favorite", retelling his tales of days gone by and was often the comic relief.

When Pat got sick in February, we immediately began praying as a crew for his health to return. It was such a joyous night whenever he would pop in unexpectedly, as we knew it took a lot of out of him to talk and laugh with us. Twice, he came into the LIVE, took a box to speak, and within minutes, a nurse came in "to bug him." After the second time, I said, "Ok Pat, from now on, if you need a nurse, you need to hop on TikTok, come to my LIVE, take a box, and boom!, you'll have a nurse arrive in no time!" As unreal and uncanny as it was, it became gospel and a guarantee, because EVERY SINGLE TIME after that, when he got in a box to speak, a nurse would show up in under 3 minutes!

We talked about politics, work, family, and Pat's relationship with God. Pat often questioned me about my faith, my walk with the Lord, and how he could grow closer to God, asking for prayer in that area. I believe Pat is the presence of the Lord now, feeling His warmth and love, and I can't wait to give Pat a big hug when we finally get to meet face to face.

I'm sending a screenshot of one of the last things he wrote me in 2025. It shows great growth in his faith, and how much he loved his friends and family. Pat is truly loved and missed.

I met Pat November 1999. He was my neighbor, single dad raising three children. I was a single mom. We quickly became great friends, being there for each other during life´s challenges. He had a nick name of "Cheer Dad", he was proud of that and love hanging out with all the moms. I could call on him at anytime day or not and he was there. We were together most weekends up until he was having medical issues. Even still we (my kids, husband or brother) would pick him up and bring him over for breakfast. Most recently was Inauguration of Donald Trump as President. Shortly after that his health took a turn. I would go see him on occasion, I wish I did more often. I will miss him deeply. He was my person to call up for anything and I was his. Pat will forever be in my heart. Prayer of strength and healing to all the family.
