Patrick A. Leach

Patrick Allen Leach of Willow Grove, PA. passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023 at the age of 75. Born in Greenfield Ohio on May 3, 1948, he was the son of Alice Hilary and James Leach and step-father, Edward Hilary Sr. of Oreland, Pa, who preceded him in death. Patrick was a graduate of Springfield Township High School (class of 1966) where he played on the football team. He went on to graduate from West Chester University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education and his Master's Degree in Education from Arcadia University.
Patrick served in the Vietnam War as a Second Lieutenant in the US Air Force, receiving an Honorable Discharge.
After the war, Patrick taught at Upper Dublin H.S. and later at Hatboro- Horsham H.S. in the Math department until his retirement. While teaching Patrick participated in advanced education training at Penn State, and was highly regarded by his students and colleagues.
As a child in Greenfield, he enjoyed time with his many cousins and family. As an adult, he enjoyed biking, golf, and driving in his Miata convertible.
Patrick is survived by his sister Sally (Leach) Auris of Lower Gwynedd, Pa and brother Edward Hilary, Jr and sister-in-law, Betty (Foy) Hilary of Glenside, PA., three nieces, two nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
