Patrick Gerald McGready, a cherished pillar of his family and community, left this world on September 22, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on April 21, 1951, Patrick lived a life that was richly woven with love, dedication, and joyful pursuits.
He was well-known for his exceptional coaching abilities in baseball, a passion that allowed him to inspire and nurture young talent. His love for the game was matched only by his devotion to his work, where he dedicated himself wholeheartedly, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike.
Family meant everything to Patrick. He found immense joy in spending time with his children, Geraldine Sargent (Michael), Patrick McGready (Bethanne), and Shauna McGready (Chuck Geyer), as well as his beloved grandchildren, Bernadette, Charles, Olivia, Keira, Maggie, Charlee, and Abigeal. Each moment shared with them was precious, and he took great pride in being an active and supportive father and grandfather.
Patrick had a deep appreciation for the arts, particularly Irish and country music, which brought him joy and often served as the soundtrack to wonderful family gatherings and celebrations. His enthusiasm for life and music will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving mother, Teresa (Nee Browne) McGready, and his devoted sisters, Philomena, Marie, and Elizabeth, who will carry his memory close to their hearts. Patrick will be deeply missed by his family and friends who were fortunate to know him.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Bernadette (Nee McGarrigle) McGready, and his father, Patrick Gerard McGready, both of whom he cherished dearly.
