Patrick Shelby Miller Sr.

The family of Mr. Patrick Miller, Sr., announces his passing on Friday October 4, 2024, in his home surrounded by his loving family.  

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating. 

A gathering of friends and family will be held at Miguez Funeral Home on Tuesday October 8, 2024, beginning at 2:00 p.m. until the closing hour at 8:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m., in the chapel. Visitation will resume on Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. until the service at 10:00 a.m. 

Patrick will be laid to rest in the Southwest Louisiana Veteran’s Cemetery, under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.  

Patrick was born on January 4, 1946, in Eunice, Louisiana, to Bennett Miller and Rosa Belle Kibodeaux. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the Louisiana American Legion Post 371 and the 40&8. Every year you can find him taking care of children by helping with Toys for Tots every year. He had a true passion for cooking and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting and enjoyed being outdoors. 

He is survived by his wife, Doris Miller; daughters, Linda (Phillip) Hebert, Beverly (Daniel) Hebert; Cynthia Miller, Donna Corkin and Patricia (Chris) LeGros; sons, Patrick Miller, Jr. and John (Meghan) Miller; sisters, Emma Guillory and Myrtle Miller; brother, Bailey Miller; grandchildren, Phillip, Jeremy, Justin, Daniel, Tiffany, Brittany, Tori, Alexis, Chris, Megan, Patrick III, Ansley, Tanner and Waylon; great grandchildren, Raelynn, Sawyer, Briggs, Kholden, Kambren, Emmett, Brody, Aurora, Rhett, Rhidge, Sutter, and one on the way, Sullee. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Bennett and Buford Miller.
