Patrick Wayne Nemec passed away at the age of 63 on January 22, 2024. He was born August 9, 1960, in Robstown, TX to Frank and Geneva Nemec. He is preceded in death by his wife Robben Nemec, his parents Frank and Geneva (Netek) Nemec, step-father Henry Strmiska, mother-in-law Francis Berry, brothers Frank Nemec Jr. and David Nemec, sister Kathyn Burgess, brothers-in-law Frank Burgess and Col. Thomas Brown Jr., and nephew David James Tajchman Jr.
He is survived by his son Colin Nemec, sister Monica (Tom) Foyt, sister Susie (David) Tajchman, sister Helen Brown, sister Marian (Dannie) Tajchman, sister Gladys (Mike )Eilers, brother Larry (Susan) Nemec, sisters-in-law Marie Nemec and Gaylynne Nemec, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a graduate of Robstown High School and Texas A&I University, Kingsville. He was a life member of Sigma Chi Fraternity, Omega pledge class of the Zeta Pi Chapter at Texas A&I University. Before his disability restricted his activities, he enjoyed golfing and gardening. He was an avid San Antonio Spurs fan and enjoyed spending time with family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to the Huntington's Disease Society of America or your favorite charity.
Patrick's family would like to thank all those who supported him and his son during the many years of his illness, especially his Sigma Chi brothers who were there for him along the way.
Services will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024, with a rosary beginning at 2:30 p.m. followed by a Requiem Mass at 3:00 p.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 16602 FM 624, Robstown, TX. Inurnment will take place on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 2:30 pm at Seaside Memorial Park, 4357 Ocean Drive, Corpus Christi, TX.
