Patrick "Pat" Louis Curran, 69, was born to the late Louis Casper and Dorothy Echsner Curran July 23, 1955 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was the younger brother to Michael Curran (Niambi) and Kathy O'Brien (Bo).
Pat married Donna Robinson 37 years ago on September 26, 1987.
Pat graduated from Atherton High School in 1973, then from U of L with a political science degree in the top 8% of his class with his LSAT scores with which he was awarded a full scholarship to law school. He graduated from Chase College of Law and although he passed the Bar Exam, he never practiced law but fell in love with the credit union philosophy and at the time of his retirement, he was the V.P. of Marketing for Class Act Federal Credit Union.
Pat had a great passion and knowledge of The Red River Gorge in Kentucky as well as a love of canoeing and anything involving the great outdoors.
In addition to his wife and siblings, Pat is survived by 8 nieces and nephews, 11 great nieces and nephews and Pat and Donna's beloved Golden Retriever, Buddy.
Visitation will be from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Newcomer, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243. A second visitation will be from 9:30 am to 11:30 am on Friday, May 23, 2025 at The Chapel in the Woods, 1407 Moser Road, Louisville, KY 40299. His funeral service will follow visitation at the church on Friday at 11:30 am with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Louisville.
Expressions of sympathy in Pat's honor may be made to The American Cancer Society or Powell County Search and Rescue.
