Patrick Clayton Petiprin, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on May 7, 2025 in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
A proud graduate of Ypsilanti High School Class of 2008, Patrick was known for his athleticism, having played baseball and football, and on various travel teams throughout his youth and teenage years. His competitive spirit was matched by a deep sensitivity and love for the world around him. Patrick was loved deeply and strongly, and had quite the gentle and caring side to him.
Patrick was a talented cook who spent many years working in the restaurant industry. He had a gift for creating flavors, often cooking off the cuff with creativity and confidence. One of his proudest culinary collaborations was a homemade steak sauce he developed alongside his father.
In recent years, Patrick worked in construction, embracing the labor and craftsmanship of the trade. He enjoyed being outside and even throughout the winter months, Patrick looked forward to construction projects starting back up again.
A lover of music, Patrick had an eclectic taste that ranged from Janis Joplin to the blues and country music. His playlists were as unique and rich as his personality.
Patrick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard and Mary Richardson, and Clayton and Elizabeth Petiprin. He is survived by his loving parents, Larry and Margie; his brother, Ben (Rachel) Petiprin; nephew and niece, Abraham and Violet; uncles, Mike, Dave, Kevin, Alan, Pete, and David; aunts, Barb, Sue, and Sandy; and many cousins, extended family members, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
A visitation in honor of Patrick's life will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Nie Funeral Home, 2400 Carpenter Rd., Ann Arbor, Michigan 48108 from 3-7pm.
Memorial Donations may be made to the Huron Valley Humane Society.
