I was deeply saddened to hear of Patrick's passing -- too soon and so unexpected. He did more than anyone to put NGOs on the map at the United Nations, and to give voice to the concerns of civil society. We were all enriched by his life and are impoverished by his death. I hope that we can continue what he has begun.
