He was a loving son, husband, and grandpa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene B. and Patricia C. Smith. Grandchildren who made him a proud grandpa- Lilly, Riley, and Alexa, and his beloved furbabies Trixie(Doodle) and Harley (Harley D. Fatboy).
Pj and Ellen’s love was a rare, magical love story that began unexpectedly but developed into an extraordinary connection that would survive significant obstacles. A connection that was a God-Willed destiny rather than by chance
He had a deep love for the Air Force, airplanes, UNC, Music (The Eagles and Guitars), and the Christian Motorcycle Association. Pj touched many with his disarming wit, empathetic heart, and outgoing nature. He was a generous friend and possessed an uncanny ability to connect with just about anyone, which served him well through his homeless, prison, and motorcycle ministries, as well as through various careers before retirement. He lived life to the fullest, stating, “The life you live is a gift, cherish it, enjoy it now to the fullest, and enjoy what truly matters.”
