Patrick Suttlemyre Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch on Aug. 14, 2025.
Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Patrick James Suttlemyre was born on March 28, 1989 in Brunswick, GA and spent most of his childhood growing up in various small towns in Southeast GA. During those early years he was involved in MYF, little league baseball, Boy Scouts and was a member of the Effingham County High School marching band in Springfield, GA. The family relocated to Olive Branch, MS in 2005 where Patrick was a member of Maples Memorial UMC. Patrick was a graduate of Desoto Central High School where he was a member of the marching band and a graduate of Northwest Community College with an AA degree. After graduating from Northwest and following up on several leads presented to him by his friends, Patrick relocated to Reno, NV to pursue opportunities in logistics and transportation. His close-knit friends and their family, originally from Olive Branch, had relocated to Reno earlier. These friends continued to maintain a very close relationship with Patrick throughout the rest of his life. In his free time, Patrick enjoyed camping, taking in the beautiful views around Reno, which he spoke to his mom and dad about on many occasions, playing video games on a computer he assembled himself and spending time with his friends. He especially enjoyed talking to his father, mother, brother, aunts, uncles and cousins about what was going on in their lives and the dreams and aspirations they all shared. No words, and I mean no words, can express the sorrow and grief that is being felt and how badly he will be missed. Patrick is preceded in death by his grandfather Bill Suttlemyre, grandfather Authur Gould, grandmother Ardrenn Suttlemyre and is survived by his parents Shannon and Jim Suttlemyre of Olive Branch, MS, brother Clay Clifton of Austin, TX, grandmother Margaret Gould of Palatka, FL and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews located in Florida, Missouri and Texas. A memorial service will be scheduled soon at Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch. Rev. Kerry Powell of Maples Memorial United Methodist Church will officiate.
