With a heavy heart and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Patrick Oliver Tofilau, who departed from this world on August 30, 2025. Patrick passed peacefully at home surrounded by family who loved him deeply. Born on December 30, 1952, in Suva, Fiji, He was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes.
Patrick was a man who found joy in the simple things. His love for cooking brought his family and friends around the table, creating a sense of togetherness that will be remembered and cherished. His knack for fixing things extended beyond the realm of his professional life, seeping into his personal life, where he became the go-to fixer for everything, from broken toys to revamping lawnmowers. Above all, Patrick's greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were his absolute pride and joy.
Patrick is survived by his loving children, Rosita Ng Lam, Oliver Tofilau, Tauaneai Tofilau, Fa'atupu Si'imalevai, Claudya Mamea amd Lucilla Tuiasosopo who will remember him as a pillar of strength and a source of endless love. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leauanae Olive Tofilau and Elizabeth Oyagawa Tofilau.
