It is with deep love and gratitude that we announce the passing of Dr. Patrick Joseph Wells, a devoted father, respected community leader, and a steadfast man of faith. Born on New Year's Day on 1949, Dr. Wells spent his life in service to others – through law enforcement, ministry, and personal integrity. A proud graduate of Catholic High School in McEwen, TN, he went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Trinity College, laying the groundwork for a life of purpose and leadership. Dr. Wells began his career as an officer with the Smyrna Police Department, later serving as a customs agent with the U.S. Customs Service. His unwavering dedication continued through roles with the Davidson County Sheriff's Office and the Special Police of the Nashville- Davidson County Commission. After retiring from the Nashville Drug Task Force, Dr. Wells remained committed to justice and truth, working as a private investigator for 26 years. His ability to listen, discern, and act was unmatched. Alongside his professional endeavors he found deep spiritual fulfillment as a pastor of Faith Methodist Church, where he offered comfort, guidance, and hope to countless souls. Dr. Wells was a proud member of the Shriners Hospital, the Knights of Pythias, and the Free Masons – each reflecting his belief in fellowship, service, and compassion. His legacy is one of quiet strength, deep compassion, and unwavering dedication to both community and his faith. We have l lost an awesome human. Bullit was an inspiration, a loving, kind man. I met him at Faith Church, when i moved back from Washington. My Uncle Buddy(Pastor Charles Worrell) introduced us. He always seemed to seek out people that needed what he had to offer- a big hug, a smile, advice if you asked, and always helpful in any way he could. I loved him and i will miss him.
