Patsy Ann Garn Leftwich was born on March 18, 1939, and passed away in Canyon, Texas in her home on December 1, 2024.
Patsy was a stay-at-home Mom until her children were older and then she started working for Kaufman County Electric Coop. She also began working weekends in the 80’s as a Jailer and Dispatcher for Kaufman County Sheriff’s Department.
She went to school weeknights and become the first female to be certified as a Deputy Sheriff in Kaufman County at the age of 50.
She retired from Trinity Valley Electric Coop (formerly known as Kaufman County Electric Coop) in 1996 and began full time work as a Civil Process Server. She served legal process for over 30 years in Kaufman County as well as other counties. She loved her job and all the attorneys and people that came into her life during her time as a Process Server.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents Clyde Garn and Catheryne Garn, sister Linda Cox and husband, Charles Cox, and sister Jackie Burks. She is survived by her husband of 30 years and love of her life, Harold “H” Leftwich of Canyon, Texas, daughter, Dale Ann Novian and husband, Carl Novian of Canyon, Texas, daughter, Patti Kay Newton and husband, Danny Newton of Kemp, Texas, son, JoPaul Adcock and wife, Casey Adcock of Canton, Texas, son, Colter Leftwich and wife, Toni Leftwich of Kaufman, Texas, and numerous granddaughters, great grandchildren, and many friends.
