Patsy L. Parks, 73, of Columbus, passed away at 11:12 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient facility.
Patsy was born March 20, 1950, in Adair County, Kentucky, the daughter of Charles E. and Joyce H. Burton Dillingham. On November 18, 1972, she married Donald L. Jeffries. Their marriage lasted 39 years until his death September 10, 2012. On March 16, 2013, she married David Parks.
Mrs. Parks was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved spending her time with family and was a longtime member of Dove Ministries. Patsy loved her church and her church family. Collecting various kinds of baskets along with taking care of her numerous plants around the home were some of the hobbies Patsy found enjoyment in. She loved to bake, especially Christmas cookies. She liked to listen to 50's and 60's music also. Patsy will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, David; children, Charles Jeffries of Seymour, Crystal (Jeron) Wilber, Jennifer Baker, both of Columbus; stepchildren, David (Darcy) Parks, Jr., of Columbus, Edward Parks of Bloomington, Nicole (Marshall) Palmer, Catherine Parks, both also of Columbus; seven grandchildren, fifteen step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; sister, Kathy (Michael) Vibbert of Horse Cave, Kentucky; brothers, Danny (Rita) Dillingham of Columbus, Jerry Dillingham of Edinburgh; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Donald L. Jeffries and brother, Kenny Dillingham.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Micheal Newlin officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
