Patsy Madonna Perry aka Momma P, a beautiful and sweet soul, is now resting in eternal peace. She was surrounded by her daughter (Suzi), Cherryll Bailey Jennings (cousin), Lindsey and Logan (part of her Morrison Wood family). Patsy was the widow of her beloved husband, Larry Perry.
Patsy was born on August 3,1937 in Modoc, Indiana. Patsy was the daughter of James David and Ellen Marie Hutchens. Patsy graduated from Royerton High School in 1955. Patsy met Larry Perry soon after graduation and both Larry and Patsy knew they wanted to share a life together. A true love story. They were soon married, July 14th, 1957, on Larry's birthday, so he would never forget their anniversary. They were married 64 years.
Patsy and Larry began their life together, Patsy was working at Ball Memorial Hospital and Larry was playing basketball for Ball State, going to school at Ball State, and a milkman. Soon, a son Phillip came along, daughter Susan came along 16 months later. Patsy learned to be a wife and mother and took on the responsibility like a champ.
Patsy was involved in all areas of the children's lives which included school, swimming, dancing, motor cross racing as well as Larry's college basketball career.
Patsy was a member of High Street United Methodist Church; she enjoyed helping with the May Breakfast and being a greeter.
She was a member of Alpha Delta Omega Sorority, Phi Chapter. She was the National President, and Member of the Year. Patsy enjoyed modeling with her best friend, Rosi Fullhart. Patsy and Rosi enjoyed judging local beauty pageants and guiding the young ladies to victory. Patsy also enjoyed her time as the backstage manager for the Eleanor Cole Dance Recitals. Patsy enjoyed running swim meets, timing, and whatever was needed. Patsy worked for Ball Stores and retired from Ashcraft Jewelers after 25 years.
Patsy and Larry moved to Dunedin, Florida where they both enjoyed swimming, the warm weather, golf cart rides, dining out with friends, Honeymoon Island, and visits from Suzi. Patsy will be remembered for her bubbly personality, her kindness and generosity. Anyone who was involved in Patsy's life has a "Patsy story" which is sure to make you smile. She was loved by many.
