DANVERS – Mr. Paul Pierre Alexandre, 85, of Danvers, formerly of Haiti, Manhattan, and Brooklyn, New York, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 7, 2022 in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side.
Born in Petion-Ville, Haiti, Paul, lovingly known as "Boss Doute" and "Papi Doute" was the son of the late Andre and Mary Susan (Kertien) Alexandre. He was raised and educated in Haiti and in the early 1960's moved to the United States settling in Manhattan, New York before moving to Brooklyn.
Paul furthered his education at Columbia University in learning the skills of an Electrical Mechanic, taking him to new heights in launching his career. With his knowledge, devotion, and hopes to make his dream a reality, Paul owned and operated his own Shell Gas Station in Brooklyn, NY. His skills were sought after in Brooklyn. If no one else could figure it out, he got the call. He was extremely proud of his profession and took great pride in being the mechanic that everyone knew and trusted.
Boss Doute was a man of few words. He was observant, knowledgeable, and wise. Every now and then when he did have something to share, you cancelled all plans and sat down at attention. Above all else, he loved his family and lived his life for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Danielle Elizabeth Alexandre Geneste and her husband, Jean Dominique Geneste of Maryland, Paula Alexandre Jallow and her husband, Musa Sireh Jallow of Danvers, Jerry P. Alexandre of Danvers, and Marie Kaime Tanoah Alexandre of Haiti; his grandchildren, Danielle Dominique Geneste, Rasheedah Nicole Geneste, Destinee DeJarnette Alexandre and Isabella Neneh Jallow; his former spouses, Nicole (Etienne) Alexandre and Irma (Joseph) Alexandre; his sisters, Mary Therese Alexandre and Mary Denise Alexandre and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Gerard "Papi YeYe" Alexandre and Jean "Papi Jean" Claude Alexandre.
