Paul Ernest Amato, 91, of Warwick, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025. He was the loving husband of nearly 65 years to Anna Marie (Galante) Amato. Born in East Greenwich, he was the son of the late Carmine and Molly (Denise) Amato.
Paul served in the United States Army during the Korean War and worked as a Machinist for Bostitch Incorporated until his retirement. Blessed with many talents and an eye for detail, he was incredibly creative, building elaborate toy fire stations, toy doll houses, and log cabins from basic materials. Paul was a parishioner of Sts. Rose & Clement Parish in Warwick.
Alongside his wife Anna Marie, he is survived by his beloved children, Anthony P. Amato (Judith Ann) of Warwick, Sherryl A. Amato of West Warwick, and John D. Amato (Kelly) of Wrentham, MA, his siblings, Carmine Amato Jr. (Latricia) of East Greenwich and John D. Amato (Patricia) of Prospect, CT, and two grandchildren, Toni Marie Cucino (Joseph) and Avery John Amato.
He was the brother of the late Angelina Testoni and Julia Jubinville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 10:30AM at Sts. Rose & Clement Church, 111 Long Street, Warwick. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the RI Veteran Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home prior to the Mass from 8:00AM-9:30AM.
