Age 79, of Shaler Township. Devoted husband, Loving father, A protective brother, doting grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and a friend to many, passed away on Saturday, February 4th, 2023, surrounded in love. He is now joyfully reunited with his wife of 40 years, the late Judith Bartek. While with us, not only did his humor bring laughter to countless, he was also a man of numerous talents. He bowled, loved the camaraderie playing golf and even took saxophone lessons and as fate would have it, his activities found him joining the Glenshaw Players, a community musical group. This is where he met the love of his life, Judy. Bitten by the acting bug he sought out roles as an extra in many of the movies and commercials filmed in Pittsburgh and was also active in the Lions (Glenshaw) and the Masons (Corinthian Loge) where he was a Past Master (multiple years). After over 46 years at Duquesne Light, he retired in 2008 as Crew Leader. Not wanting to sit still in retirement, he continued to look for roles as an extra while driving a limousine, which he adored because of the people-person that he was. Paul was the beloved father of Shelley Libell (James), Thomas Lane (Kristen), and Kimberly Furar (Robert). Grandfather to Samantha Lavrinc (Albert Silvio) and Kassidy Lane, Ashley Lighthart (Stephen), Robert Furar (Christina), Kylee Furar. Step-grandfather of Hannah Thomas (Chad), Michaela Libell, Rebecca Cox (Coltin) and Joshua Libell. Great-grandfather to Wesley Silvio, Owen Matthew Furar and Taytum Grey Lighthart. Friends will be welcomed at the BOCK FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA 15116 on Thursday, February 16th from 12:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 17th at Glenshaw Presbyterian Church at 11:00 AM. Interment in Mount Royal Cemetery.
