It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul C. Beckemeier, who departed this world on October 19, 2024, at the age of 75. Born in Saint Louis, Missouri, on October 8, 1949, Paul leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and technological curiosity.
Paul's journey began in law enforcement in 1973, where he served 15 years with the Saint Louis Police Department and the Norborne City Police Department in Missouri before transitioning into a career in voicemail systems. His dedication to his family led him to seek greater opportunities to support his loved ones, ultimately leading him to the role of Product Manager, from which he retired.
In a twist of fate, Paul met Donna, and their shared love bloomed into a beautiful marriage on Valentine's Day in 1997. Together, they formed a blended family, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories.
Known for his keen intellect and appetite for information, Paul was always a source of knowledge and guidance for those around him. His love for exploring the latest gadgets and advancements in technology was only matched by his passion for spending time with his grandchildren. As a beloved 'Papa' and 'Pops', he found his greatest joy in creating magical, silly moments filled with laughter and wonder for his grandchildren, be it through stargazing or dress up.
A man of many interests, Paul enjoyed fishing and taking leisurely walks in his neighborhood, often equipped with his assortment of high-lumen flashlights or LED lanterns. His love for technology and the heavens reflected his endless curiosity for the world around him.
Paul's memory is cherished in the hearts of his wife of 27 years, Donna G. Beckemeier of Taylors; daughter, Amy Gilliam of Taylors; daughter, Angela Cadamy of Pataskala, Ohio; step-daughter, Kristie Beam of Palm Bay, FL; step-daughter, Dana Bonds of Williamston, SC; step-son, Kenn Morton of Moonville, SC; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Gilbert N.
