He was a graduate of Talawanda High School and swam on the swim team. He was active in the Oxford DeMolay Chapter. He was an avid farmer and talented woodworker. He was a very passionate worker and worked until the day he passed. He worked at Sullivan's Grocery in Lake Village.
He is preceded in death by his parents (Byron & Sandra). Barry is survived by his partner Felica Cook and their furbaby, Shadow (Dog). Barry is survived by his siblings Brenda Weiss (Thom), Middleton, Wisconsin; Wendy Heartz (Brett), Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; and Blaine Beckemeier (Lisa), Oxford, Ohio. He is also survived by his only child Megan Stuhmer (Josiah) of Independence, KY and his two granddaughters Aurora Alayne and Magnolia Virginia Anne.
