Paul R. Countryman, 56, of Weld County, Colorado, began his journey on this earth on May 16, 1969, at The Donald N. Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, California, born to Gerald and Edith Countryman. He completed his journey peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on August 6, 2025, in Larimer County, Colorado.

His father worked for IBM, and his mother for Kaiser Permanente. Paul began working in retail at McWhorter's, where he developed a tireless work ethic and formed lifelong friendships with Mike Reynolds, Danny, and Brynne Valderrama.

Paul grew up in the San Jose, California, area, where he graduated from Santa Teresa High School before moving to Adams County, Colorado, where he decided to plant new roots. It was there that he met and married the love of his life, Denyse, in April 1997. They shared 28 years together, raising three children and building a home filled with love, laughter, and music.

Later in life, he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, a battle he fought with remarkable courage, strength, and determination. Though the disease ultimately claimed his life, it never took away his humor, warmth, or the joy he found in his family. Family was everything to Paul. He treasured every gathering, every conversation, and every shared moment. Known for his quick wit and endless sense of humor, he also had an enduring love for music-often playfully rewriting song lyrics to make them his own.

Paul was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Countryman.

He is survived by his wife, Denyse; his mother, Edith; his children, Meghan (Dustin) Simmons, Morghan Countryman, and Dahlton Countryman; his grandchildren, Bentley, Leland, Mia, and Robert; his sister, Patty (Brad) Thompson; his brother, Brian (Ann) Countryman; his brother-in-law, Jason Avis; and his nieces and nephews. Paul also deeply loved and cherished his many aunts, uncles, and cousins, who brought joy and connection throughout his life.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
