Paul Duce, 81 of Kountze, Texas, passed away at his home on Friday, April 5th, 2025. He was born on December 22nd,1943 in Honey Island, Texas to Velma Phillips Duce and Paul Jackson Duce, as the second of three boys.
Paul grew up with his family in the small East Texas logging communities and in Kountze, where he graduated High School.
He served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany.
He married Beatrice Sharp, who he remained married to until she passed away. They enjoyed 60 years together. They enjoyed traveling together and visiting with family. Paul liked to go fishing and camping as well.
His survivors include his brother, Jerry Duce and wife, Mona; nieces and nephews, Donnece Duce Foster and husband, Dave, and daughter, Nicole, of Jasper; Tommie Jean Brace and husband, Robert, of Gulfport, Mississippi; Cathy Perry and husband, Chuck, of Springfield, Tennessee; David Anderson of El Campo; Shannon Sharp and wife, Lea, of Santa Fe; Bambi Sharp and husband, Roger Banks, of Friendswood; Chase Sharp and wife, Tracy, of Dickinson; and sister-in-law, Mary Duce.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Beatrice Duce; and brother, Donald Duce.
A gathering of Mr. Duce's family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Broussard's 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His interment will follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
