Paul Gene French age 80 of Waterville, Ohio passed away July 15, 2025, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Paul was born August 16, 1944, in Lima, Ohio to Clarence and Alberta (VanOss) French. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and married Mary Noreen Stroshine August 16, 1968. He worked for the Toledo Public Schools as a Grounds Maintenance Operator until his retirement in 1998. Paul enjoyed watching old movies, especially Westerns and loved his family more than anything.
Surviving are his children, Thomas (Kelly) French and Erin (Paul) Bemis, sisters, Jacqueline Burns, Magdeline Imberry and Shelly Osborn. Also surviving are his 3 grandchildren, Andrew, Julia and Haleigh and Bonus Grandchild Isaak Bemis . Preceding him in death were his parents, his beloved wife, Noreen (Stroshine) French, his sister Mary Hudak and his brother Phillip French.
Paul’s family will be receiving friends and family Saturday August 16, 2025, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. in Marygrove Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 1750 North Raab Rd. Swanton, Ohio 43558, where the Funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Marygrove Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home 5055 Secor Rd. Toledo, Ohio is assisting the family.
