Paul Eugene Guenther Jr. 87, of Canton Ohio, passed peacefully on December 17,2022. He was surrounded by family at this time. He is now reunited with his wife of 51 years (Judith) and so many loved ones that preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, Darryl, Ben Fazio (who cared for him and was like a son to him) sisters, MaryEllen Krahling, Diane Morris and family dog Luke. Paul retired from Stark Cooling and Heating. He later worked at Marshall's, which he enjoyed very much. He was also the videographer for the Sweet Vendetta band, from 1992-1994. Despite many health issues over the years, he worked hard to always care for those he loved. It was hard for him to be the one needing the care. It was that love that he had that made him special, not the actual work. Our family is so thankful for all who help, advised, visited and kept him going. Paul was a railroad enthusiast, from his HO layout, to riding the real trains. He had a huge heart for animals. He loved anything concerning history. He was a veteran of the Navy and Army. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ of Canton, and he had a presence at Emmanuel Fellowship Church in Akron. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel, 705 Raff Rd. SW Canton, Ohio 44710 from 11am to 12pm with services to follow at 12pm with Rev. Dr. Theresa M. Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Stark County Humane Society.
