Memorial services will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024 between the hours of 12:30 -4:00 pm at the Lions Club Hall (112 Abigayles Row, Scott) for Paul Dwayne "PD" Guidry, who passed away on September 26, 2024.
He is survived by his daughter, Leah Rae Guidry; grandson, Logan Phillip Rachal; siblings, Ronald (Vee) Guidry, Sandra Guidry, and Victoria Breaux; sister-in-law, Kathy Guidry; brothers-in-law, Gregg Breaux, and Lloyd Aucoin; step-brother, Raymond (Myrna) Guidry; aunt, Eula Mae Usie; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who loved him dearly.
Also mourning his loss are his best friend Wayne Quebedeaux and family; Michelle L. and Mrs. Sandy who were a huge part of his life; and Steve and Karen Rashal who welcomed him in as their own family.
PD was preceded in death by his two daughters, Stacy Lynn Guidry, and Amy Lynn (Guidry) Solice; his mother, Edmae Maturin; his father and his wife, David and Carmen Guidry Jr.; siblings, Linda Thibodeaux, Dana Aucoin, Dahlonaga Drouet, David “Pokey” Guidry III, and Richard “Gut” Guidry; one step-sister, Dorthy Cobb; and one sister-in-law, Judith Goodstone.
PD loved spending time with his daughter & visiting his grandson. He lived for fishing & hunting; during hunting season he spent most of his time at the camp. He will be remembered for his time spent helping others, and his cooking. Good Cajun food was one of his specialties.
