Paul M. Harmond

Paul Michael Harmond, age 68, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Paul was born in Rockford, Illinois, to Beatrice Barbara Harmond and Dolan Andrew Harmond. He grew up in Virginia Beach, where he developed a lifelong love of books, family, and close friends.
Paul was a former UPS driver and proud Teamster. After graduating from Old Dominion University, he joined the Virginia Department of Health, where he built a successful career as a health inspector. He retired in 2025 following 22 years of dedicated service.
Paul is survived by his brother, Andy Harmond; sister-in-law, Donna Harmond; and his beloved nieces, Paige Harmond and Brittney Harmond, who will remember him with love and affection.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Saint Nicholas Catholic Church. Interment of Paul's ashes will follow in the church's Columbarium. A brief gathering will then be held to share memories and stories, to laugh and cry, and to say farewell to a special person who touched all our lives.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul's memory to Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) research.
Paul will be remembered for his quiet presence in the lives of those who knew him and for the love he shared with his family. May his soul find comfort in the Lord's light, and may we cherish the memories shared until we meet again.
