McDonald Keohane Funeral Home - SouthPaul C. Hladysz. of Weymouth, passed away suddenly on October 29, 2025 at the age of 69.
Beloved husband of the late Bobby (Nardella) Hladysz. Loving father of Margaret E. Hladysz and her partner Meredith, of Pepperell, and Francesco Hladysz of Lancaster. Caring brother to Steven Gladis and his wife Donna of Virginia, and the late Michael Gladis of Nevada.
A deeply devoted Catholic, Paul's passion for theology extended into his studies and hobbies throughout his life. From his time at Boston College at the Clough School of Theology and Ministry to his final years reading scripture and religious books in the comfort of his home, Paul found peace and connection through the word of God. During his 10+ years as the Religious Education Director at Annunciation Cathedral, Paul provided students with fun, creative, and meaningful curriculums that impacted generations to come. Most notedly, Paul and his wife Bobby directed the annual Christmas Pageant which showcased both their passions (art and Christianity).
Receiving various awards throughout his 30+ year career at South Shore Hospital, Paul took great pride in his work in healthcare. He started his career at South Shore Hospital (SSH) as an orderly working direct care. He later worked his way up to the Central Processing Department (CPD) where he was quickly promoted into a leadership role and eventually managing the entire department. Finally in his career, he transitioned to overseeing the Fracture Room at SSH as an Orthopaedic Technician. Paul's legacy of treating all patients with dignity and nurture will be remembered by all who worked with him.
Paul's love for his wife and children gave him the most joy. Affectionately known to his children as "Papa", Paul had a special relationship with both his children. He will be remembered for his kind heart, compassion, and caring nature.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 11/10/2025 from 10am-12 noon in Christ the King Ukrainian Church, (146 Forest Hills Street, Jamaica Plain 02130) followed by his Funeral Mass at 12 noon.
