Antoinette “Dolly” (Sciaba) Scarlata, of Weymouth (formerly of Dorchester), passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family on November 2, 2025. She was 92.
Beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Scarlata.
Loving mother of Nathan Scarlata and his wife, Linda, of Dorchester, Linda Murphy and her husband, Robert, of Weymouth, Lisa Webber and her husband, Stephen, of Duxbury, and Steven Scarlata and his wife, Annmarie, of Falmouth.
Sister of Santo Sciaba and his wife, Winifred of Weymouth, Joanne Hopkinson and her husband, Frederick, of Brighton and the late Natale Sciaba of Dorchester.
Cherished Nonnie to Heather, Tina, Bobby, Lauren, Andrew, Joseph, and Tommy.
Great Grandmother to Billy, Bryan, Sean, and Sarah.
Dolly had retired after a lengthy career in the Health Services Department at the University of Mass/Boston. She enjoyed her time at the Weymouth Senior Center playing Bingo and LCR, and following her beloved Red Sox. At home she took pleasure in Rummikub tournaments (which she often won!), doing puzzles and engaging with family and friends on Facebook and online games. What Dolly loved most was spending time with her family and hosting the family holiday parties which brought her the most joy.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 11/10/2025 from 4 PM-7PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday 11/11/2025 prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM.
Burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
