Paul Bernard Isaacson, 87, of Macon, MO passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the Clarence Care Center.
Paul was born on October 8, 1937, the son of Ivy and Lora (Grimshaw) Isaacson. He was united in marriage to Linda Kay Lucas on June 12, 1960, at the Callao Christian Church. Paul was a dedicated member of the church and served as an elder for a time. He was also a strong supporter of its Preacher Boys and Teacher Girls programs.
In his younger years, Paul was active in Macon County 4-H and enjoyed water skiing and playing basketball. He also served in the National Guard early in his life.
Paul spent many years farming and later served as President of the Missouri MFA Board. He valued his involvement with the Macon County Republican Club, where he was one of the original founders. He was a John Deere enthusiast and collector and a lifelong fan of Chevrolet. In his leisure time, he enjoyed golfing, quail hunting, and traveling. Paul was also a devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Missouri Tigers basketball and football teams.
Paul is survived by his two children, Lisa Fitzgerald and her husband Thomas of St. Louis, MO, and Todd Isaacson of Sacramento, CA; two grandchildren, Daniel Fitzgerald and Jacob Fitzgerald; and one sister, Mary (Isaacson) Pursley of Macon, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda Kay Isaacson on August 21, 2025; his siblings, Vern Isaacson, Harold Isaacson, Jim Isaacson, and Phyllis (Isaacson) Lande.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Friday, October 10, 2025 at the Callao Christian Church, with Bro. Josh Stucki officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Salem Cemetery in Excello, MO. Visitation will be 9:00 am, Friday, until the service, at the church. The family suggests memorials to the Callao Christian Church towards the Preacher Boys and Teacher Girls. Arrangements are under the direction of Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO.
