Paul H. Jaffe of
Naples, Florida, passed away on April 27, 2025. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Jill Greenman Jaffe.
Paul was born on November 26, 1928, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Samuel and Sadie (Okeon) Jaffe, the youngest of three sons. He was an excellent student, a dedicated Boy Scout, and an enthusiastic musician. He earned a degree in Business from the University of Missouri, where he was a member of Phi Eta Sigma honor society and Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity; there he played in dance bands and developed his entrepreneurial talent. He spent his entire career in Memphis, where he was the principal of Paul Jaffe Interiors for 20 years. A member of the American Society of Interior Designers and the Memphis Association of General Contractors, he was recognized as an award-winning interior designer, a residential and commercial builder, and a respected member of the community. Upon his retirement he owned and managed commercial property in Southwest Florida.
In 1955, he married Barbara Lain (Swafford), who became his partner in Paul Jaffe Interiors; they divorced in 1972. He remarried in 2002 and was preceded in death by his second wife, Laura (Williams). Drawn by the sunshine, beauty, and easy lifestyle of Florida, which he had experienced with his family as a teenager, he relocated to Naples in 2012. There he married Jill, his dear friend from Chicago whom he had known for more than two decades. Paul and Jill always had a close and loving relationship, and they truly enjoyed sharing their lives together.
Paul traveled the world visiting sacred sites, which reflected his interest in ancient history, philosophy, and a life devoted to spiritual truths. He was an avid tennis player, a skilled equestrian, an appreciator of art and literature, and a talented musician who loved music. He was a friend to all, a Southern gentleman, and a cheerful soul who liked to engage in conversation about things that mattered. He had a special gift for design and will be remembered for all the beauty he brought into the world.
In addition to his wife, Jill, he leaves numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Sadie Jaffe, and his brothers, Eli and Sol Jaffe.
