Paul Jones

Mr. Paul Jones, 89, of Millry, AL passed from this life Monday, September 29, 2025, at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center in Mobile, AL surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Millry, AL on Sunday, September 6, 1936, to the late Silas and Vera Loper Jones. He worked at Ciba-Geigy for 15 years, served as Washington County Road Commissioner for 8 years, and retired as owner and operator at Paul Jones Timber Company.
Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his parents, Silas and Vera Loper Jones; two brothers, John H. Jones and Oscar Phillip Jones; sister, Mary Elizabeth Stanley; great granddaughter, Kerrington Kirkland. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Ciddie Leigh Waite Jones of Millry, AL; daughter, Rebbeca Jones McLaughlin (Kevin) of Mobile, AL; three sons, Jackie Jones, Paul Dean Jones (Kay), and Silas Dale Jones (Karen), all of Millry, AL; nine grandchildren, Ashley Jones Cooley (Matthew), Malorie Jones Kirkland, Jessica Jones Williams (Ryan), Ryan McLaughlin (Sherrie), Savannah Jones Pitts (Josh), Matthew McLaughlin, Whitney Jones Howard (Seth), Dakota Jones (Chesley), and John Paul McLaughlin (Alice); a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mr. Jones will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Independent Community Church in Millry, AL. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Independent Community Church in Millry, AL with Rev. Mark Guy, Rev. Sammy Taylor, Rev. Jim Koen, and Rev. Ray Odom officiating. Interment will be in Paul Jones Memorial Cemetery in Millry, AL. Pallbearers are Allen Bailey, Matthew Thead, Seth Howard, Ed Hill, Lewis Koen, Johnny Waite, Joe Hill, and Jimmy Nicholson. Honorary Pallbearers are Willard McIlwain, Randy Goldman, George Dearmon, and Author McIlwain.
