Paul Peter Killian, 93, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023 at St Paul Elder Care with his family by his side. He was born on March 26, 1930 to Henry E. and Susan R. (Schmitz) Killian in Kaukauna. After graduation from Kaukauna High School in 1948, he enlisted in the Navy Reserves. Paul was united in marriage to Jeanne C. Biselx on July 26, 1952 at Holy Cross in Kaukauna. Paul’s occupation was papermaker at Thilmany mill for 38 years. Paul enjoyed his family, gardening, fishing, hunting, and “collecting things”.
Paul is survived by his wife of 71 years, Jeanne; children: Paula Killian, Perry (Sid) Killian, Wendy Killian, Kurt (Lynette) Killian, Sandy (Keith) Vandenberg and daughter-in-law Nancy Killian.
Grandchildren: Neil (Marissa Stoeger) Gunther, Katie Gunther, Aaron (Carrie) Volp, Jeremy (Carrie) Volp, Leah (Troy) Dukowitz, Lisa (Dan) Peeters, Robin Rietveld (Rich Kling), Karen Rietveld, Sharon (Chris) Kotkiewicz, Brad Hartmann, Mallory Killian (John Palmbach), Kellie (Davis) Arndt, Lindsey Killian, Phil Kussart, Paul Kussart, Jena Vandenberg, Cody (Brianna) Vandenberg, Kala Vandenberg,
Great grandchildren Cameron Gunther, Alexia (Seth) Doering, Zachery Gunther, Aiden Stoeger and Gavin Stoeger, Addi and Cal Volp, Jaci and Amari Volp, Wyatt, Watson, Walker, and Wolf Dukowitz, Zachary Krans, Alice and Cleo Peeters, Emma and Quinton Palmbach, Greyson and Scarlett Arndt, Evan and Jenna Kussart, and Brody Vandenberg; and great great grandchildren Aria, Sunnie, and Lucy Doering. Paul is also blessed with many loving nieces and nephews and their families as well as many cousins and good-buddy Mickey (Sherry) Thompson.
Paul was preceded in death by his son Kevin Killian, his parents, parents-in-law Byron and Hilda Biselx, sister's in law Joyce Lettau and Karen Thompson, siblings and their spouses Bob (Claire) Killian, Marie (Ken) Van Elsen, Rita (Fran) Wagner, Jean (Herb) Hermson, Joy (Bill) Vander Loop, and nephews Steve Wagner, Phil Killian, Jeff Killian.
Funeral liturgy will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, (St. Mary Site) 119 W 7th St, Kaukauna, WI. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, 1201 Buchanan Rd, Kaukauna. Visitation will precede the funeral mass at St Katharine Drexel from 9:00 until the time of Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Gift of Life Transplant House at Mayo Clinic – Minnesota and/or St Jude Children’s Hospital.
