Paul Michael Kubera, 52, of
East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, passed away at home, on January 7, 2025. Born May 6, 1972, in
Springfield, Massachusetts, Paul was a lifelong resident of East Longmeadow and a proud graduate of East Longmeadow High School. While attending University of Hartford Paul majored in Communications. Paul began his career in television production early on in his life, working for many years with Catholic Communications as a videographer and editor for the "Chalice of Salvation" and "Real to Reel" programs. He also directed live broadcasts of the weekly "Chalice" program.
Paul was predeceased by his father, Donald Kubera, whose memory he cherished deeply. He is survived by his loving mother, Kathryn Kubera; his sisters, Ann Carone, and her husband, Joseph and Margaret Martins, and her husband, Silverio; his brothers, John Kubera and his wife, Cathleen (DeAngelis), and David Kubera and his wife, Julie (Niznik). He also leaves behind eight cherished nieces and nephews who will forever treasure the memories of their beloved uncle.
Paul's life was defined by his extraordinary talent and passion for film and visual storytelling. As a master of his craft in filmmaking, television production, and photography Paul had an unmatched ability to bring stories to life through his lens. Always the person behind the camera, he possessed a unique perspective that captured the beauty, emotion, and authenticity of every moment. His work took him across the country, where he used his creative eye to inspire and connect with others. Chances are, you've seen one of Paul's shows on several TV networks without even realizing it-his talent was everywhere, though he never sought the spotlight for himself.
Paul's vibrant personality was as memorable as his artistry. Known for his quick wit and playful sense of humor, Paul was always joking around, bringing laughter and joy to those around him. His ability to make others smile was a hallmark of his character, and he used his humor to lighten even the toughest moments.
Beyond his creative genius, Paul was one of the most generous people you could ever meet. He had a heart of gold, consistently putting others before himself and offering kindness and support to anyone in need. His selflessness and compassion were as remarkable as his talent, and he touched countless lives with his unwavering generosity.
Paul was also a dedicated professional, contributing his skills as event manager, site supervisor and security officer at Green Mountain Concert Services and North East Security Services. His commitment and reliability were evident in every endeavor he undertook. Paul's legacy lives on in the hearts of those he touched with his kindness, creativity, sense of humor, and selflessness. His passion for film, his generosity of spirit, and his unique vision will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him.
Calling hours will take place from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Wednesday, January 22 at Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow. Funeral mass will take place at 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, January 22 at St. Mary's Church, 27 Somers Rd., Hampden. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, 1601 State St.,
Springfield, MA.
