Paul John McFarland

Paul John McFarland, 67, of Paw Paw, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022.
He was born October 18, 1954, in Worcester, Massachusetts, the son of Irving J. McFarland and Harriet T. (Carey) McFarland.
Paul grew up in Newburyport, Massachusetts, where he attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School until the 8th grade. He went on to graduate from Newburyport High School. Paul had a huge heart and would help anyone in need. When hard times struck the family, Paul and his sister stepped up and helped raise their two younger siblings. He was a member of "The Sons of the Desert" a local band that he was still involved with. His work in the nuclear business led Paul to Michigan where he settled and later went to work for Welch's. It was during his time with Welch's that Paul met his future wife, Lill. On June 6, 2003, in South Haven, Paul and Lill were married and shared a lot of love and memories with their sons, Skeeter and Paul along with family and friends. Paul had a great sense of humor and loved to make others laugh. He was a loving grandfather and looked forward to attending their sporting events. He had many hobbies that included hunting, fishing and golfing.
Paul is survived by his son, Paul John (Lindsay Verburg ) McFarland, his step son, Skeeter (Mellissa) Olsen; five grandchildren, Madison, Hailey, Jade, Clara and Ryder.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife Lillian Marie (Conklin) McFarland September 23, 2021.
Family will receive friends Friday, October 7, 2022, beginning at 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw. A life celebration will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Archie Lhamon officiating. Interment will follow at Wildey Cemetery, Paw Paw. Following the committal at the cemetery, there will be a reception with food and fellowship at the Paw Paw Eagles.
