Paul D. Moore, 59 of Waupun, was called to his heavenly home on Thursday, December 5, 2024, as the result of a traffic accident.
Paul was the youngest of three children of Dr. Lynas G. and Ida E. (Minzlaff) Moore. He attended Redeemer Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Winnebago Lutheran Academy in 1983.
He attended Redeemer Lutheran Church in his youth, then transferred to a joint membership with St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac and Grace Lutheran Church in Waupun.
He worked as a driver for many years with companies such as Diamond Auto, O'Reilly Auto and Uber.
Music was an instrumental part of his entire life, and Paul expertly played piano and keyboard, performing with various music groups in the local area, groups such as "On the Rocks", "33RPM", "Wild Side" and numerous others. He was born with perfect pitch and utilized this gift to perfect the lost art of piano tuning at various churches, schools, and nursing homes in and around the Fond du Lac area.
Paul had a love for classic cars, especially Corvairs, and was a member of the local chapter of the Antique and Classic Car Club. He also had a fascination with trains as a child which extended to his hobby and love of model trains. He was also a member of the Model Railroad Club.
The greatest day in his life was the birth day of his daughter Elita Trinity Moore (mother, Anne Cumbie). He was a devoted father and never failed to express his love and caring to his daughter every day whether by text messaging and video prayers at night before bed or having exciting times together. Elita went on many adventures with him to car shows, biking and model train events and favored the following of the Christmas Train.
He is survived by his daughter, Elita Trinity Moore; sister, Donna Moore; Elita's mother, Anne Cumbie; and mother-in-law, Fran Mondl. He also had many longtime friends and acquaintances from his life and music career.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Lynas Moore; his mother, Ida (Minzlaff) Moore; his brother, Steve Moore; his father-in-law, Kurt Mondl; various cherished aunts and uncles; and several great musician friends.
A memorial celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac, WI with Rev. Luke Boehringer and Rev. David Cooper (Grace Lutheran Church) officiating.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, services starting at 11:00 am with cake and refreshments following the service.
Interment will take place at a later date at Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Marinette, WI.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Winnebago Lutheran Academy Music Department, St. Peter's Lutheran Church and/or Grace Lutheran Church.
