Paul David Mott of Maple St passed away with his family by his side on Monday December 9, 2024 at his home. He was 88 years old. Born on July 14, 1936 in Superior WI, he was the son of the late John Frank Mott and Margaret Materaud.
At an early age, Paul enlisted in the United States Navy in 1956. He spent 9 years proudly serving the Navy. He later enlisted in the United States National Guard where he served for another 16 years until he retired after 25 years of service in 1995.
He worked as a machinist for many years and for many different companies throughout those years, most notably for the Bic Corporation in Clearwater FL. Wherever he worked and for whatever company at the time he was a dedicated employee and always worked his hardest. He married his wife of 43 years, Bambi Hastings Mott, on June 20th, 1981.
In his leisure he enjoyed woodworking and was a master of fixing almost anything. He would attend the Strawberry Festival in Florida with his wife every year. His greatest enjoyment came from camping, fishing and boating with his wife and children.
In addition to his parents and his stepfather, Robert Malone, he is predeceased by his daughters Paula Mott and Brandi Mott.
Survivors include his wife Bambi Mott of Glens Falls, two sons, Darryl Mott of Lakeland FL and Randall Mott and his wife Lauren of Greenfield Center, NY, his adoptive daughter, Dina DeMarco and her fiancé Jeff of Hoosick Falls, NY, 4 grandchildren, Jamie, Kristy, Nicholas and Ryan Mott all of FL. 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Tunison Funeral Home 105 Lake Ave Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 on Tuesday December 17th, 2024. A memorial service including Military Services, will be held at 6:00 pm at the funeral home
